If you are a website owner, you may have wondered how you can make money from your website. There are several things a webmaster can do to create an income from his or her website. The first thing he or she can do is to sign up with Googles advertising program, known as Adsense. This program is free of charge. The webmaster is given a code to place on his site, which is invisible to the eyes of any visitors. This code allows advertisers who are using Googles services to place ads on the website. These ads are usually around the periphery of the website, or in a blank space in the middle. These types of ads are very common and are used on well known sites, such as MySpace and DrudgeReport, as well as millions of sites that are not as well known. The way this pays is that when a visitor clicks on the ads, Google tracks it, and the website owner is paid a certain amount per click. It is important, when using AdSense, that click fraud is not happening. Do not ask your brother, sister, or spouse to click on the ads, as this could cause you to lose your account with AdSense. Once the account is gone, it is just about impossible to get back. If you use any of Googles services, such as their Webmaster tools or Gmail, you already have a user name and password for Adsense. If you dont currently use Google, it is easy to sign up with their Adsense program. Another unique way to make money from your website and to generate traffic to your site, which will increase your Google Adsense click counts is to make podcasts about your subject matter. Sam Crowley, from everydayissaturday (dot) com, explains it like this: Get on the podcasting train. There may 240,000,000 pages indexed on a search engine for your niche. Type that same keyword into i-tunes or any podcast directory and there may 200 total podcasts on your topic. You can educate the consumer and become a subject matter expert very quickly in their eyes. Yes-their eyes, don't get caught up on what you think you don't know, just do it. Some people have a fear of speaking. The good news is you just speak into the mic from your favorite room in the home or office and let 'er rip. Podcasting involves little to no charge. Have some album art created (not necessary, but looks good and worth the $20 you pay a Warrior to do it).
Record a podcast in Audacity.
Keep it within 15-20 minutes, longer than that and listeners lose interest.
Build each one on top of the other, create a series. Episode #1, #2, etc.
Keep on file to sell as a home study course later.
Upload to your computer as an mp3 file.

Watch downloads and subscribers multiply like rabbits. As I mentioned before, sell you and your products throughout the podcast. Not in an in-your-face manner but subtlety. Making money from your website, whatever the subject may be, is relatively easy to do.
